State Laws about Cannabis as of July 2018

So, in no particular order, here is a list of states that have legalized cannabis for recreational use.
California
Colorado
Massachusettes
Maine
Nevada
Oregon
Washington
Washington DC
And here is a list of the states where cannabis is illegal in ANY form.
Idaho
Nebraska
South Dakota
Kentucky
These next states have legalized medical marijuana in all forms, which means you can get a doctor’s recommendation and/or ID card to visit the dispensaries.
Arizona
Hawaii
New Jersey
North Dakota
Oklahoma
West Virginia
The following states have legalized medical Marijuana AND decriminalized cannabis to different degrees. That means that even though cannabis possession is still illegal on a federal level, in some of those places they treat it like traffic violation, not a felony.
Arkansas
Connecticut
Delaware
Florida
Georgia
Illinois
Louisiana
Maryland
Michigan
Minnesota
Montana
New Hampshire
New Mexico
New York
Ohio
Pennsylvania
Rhode Island
And last but not least, here are the states that ONLY legalized medical CBD oil, which is high in CBD but with almost no THC. All other forms of cannabis remain illegal.

North Carolina
South Carolina
Tennessee
Texas
Utah
Virginia
Wisconsin
Wyoming
