One of the biggest fears for any transplant patient is rejection. For most recipients the risk is especially high during the first few years after transplantation. Here’s what you need to know about rejection in pediatric solid organ transplants. The different types of rejection will be explained with emphasis on how they are determined and best treated. Fortunately, with careful treatment and management, most cases of rejection can be successfully resolved.
