Protecting Pregnant Women and Babies During Public Health Emergencies



Pregnant women and babies may face greater challenges and be more severely affected during public health emergencies. Two CDC centers, the National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities and the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, joined the EPIC team to discuss how how pregnant women, community leaders, and family members can reduce risks pregnant women and babies may face during disease outbreaks, natural disasters, and other emergencies.
