Preventing Wildfires in Marin with Michael Wara

Hear from Michael Wara, director of Stanford’s Climate and Energy Policy Program, as he discusses what is causing the increased incidence of wildfires in our state, local and state policies that can counteract this trend, the forces that are preventing good policies from getting passed, and how our energy infrastructure might evolve as a result in the years to come.

Michael Wara is a senior research scholar at the Woods Institute for the Environment and one of five members of Governor Newsom’s Wildfire Commission. He’s also a Marin resident and Stanford Law School alumnus.
