PLASTIC SURGERY STORIES 3 ON ANAL WARTS, GUNSHOTS TO THE FACE & VOICE BOX, TONGUE and SKIN CANCER
See Dr Young talk about his care of a patient with anal warts that covered his whole buttock area. He also presents a person who was shot in the face, eye and the vital structures around the ear. but was able to live and have very little scarring and functional deficits. The dangers of fracturing the femoral bone and lacerating the femoral artery is presented through a story about a man hit by a forklift. An innocent bystander is shot in the throat and lives. Although needing to have his voice box / larynx reconstructed, he is able to have very little problems with his voice. The perils of skin cancer are also brought up and how basal cell cancers and their innate tendencies to move along flat planes may explain why they are able to dive deeper into vital structures like the eyes and brain and how a patient of Dr. Young needed his eye and whole eye socket removed to control a basal cell cancer that invaded the eye.
