If you are having some kids round this Christmas for a party or get-together it can be difficult to find one thing that they will all eat.
This is why I’m a big fan of party platters. Serve up lots of different foods and there will always be something for everyone to enjoy.
This Christmas Party Platter is easy to put together as there’s no cooking involved. And it looks fun and inviting for the kids too.
To make this Christmas Party Platter start with choosing a board. I’ve used a wooden tray turned upside down but any kind of chopping board, tray or large plate will work, depending on how many children you are feeding.
Decide which foods you want to put in bowls and place them on the board first. Choose a mix of sweet and savoury foods and some fruit and vegetables for balance!
Then fill in the rest of the space with your remaining foods.
For this platter I’ve used:
Smarties
Mini Mince Pies
Cocktail Sausages
Sausage Rolls
Cherry Tomatoes
Mini Chocolate Fingers
Star Cheese Sandwiches
Mini Gingerbread Men
Babybel
Christmas Tree Tortilla Chips
Carrots
Satsumas
Mini Marshmallows
Christmas Tree Cheeselets
Chocolate Brussel Sprouts
Mini Party Rings
White Chocolate Rice Cakes
Milk Chocolate Rice Cakes
Popcorn
Mini Jammy Dodgers
Chocolate Coins
Cucumber
Strawberries
And finally some pretzels which are great for filling in any small gaps
If serving this kind of platter to toddlers or younger children please be mindful of any choking hazard, in particular popcorn and mini marshmallows. The cocktail sausages should be cut lengthways.
