How to make Tofu Scramble – EASY Vegan breakfast scrambled eggs!



This is a super easy vegan tofu scramble recipe that only takes minutes to make and tastes delicious. Now you can enjoy vegan scrambled eggs for your breakfast… or any time you feel hungry and want something tasty that’s quick and easy to make!

This recipe is cholesterol free and great for anyone wanting to eat a whole food plant based diet.

Ingredients:

500g firm tofu (I use organic)
3 tbs nutritional yeast
1/2 tsp celtic sea salt (to taste)
1/4 tsp white pepper (to taste)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
2 tsp dried chives
2 tsp mixed Italian herbs
1 tbs salt reduced tamari
1 tsp dried chilli flakes (optional)
1/4 tsp black Himalayan black salt (optional but gives an egg flavor)
…. you can also add any other spices, herbs or vegetables that you like eg. mushrooms, onions, garlic, steamed broccoli etc

Top with fresh tomatoes or herbs and serve with crusty bread! YUMBO!!!

  2. I have just made your tofu scramble Anja and it's delicious with fresh tomatoes and peach slices. Had all the ingredients except the tamari but I used the black salt, which I have in abundance.

  3. Love recipes. I was wondering if mixed Italian herbs is the same thing as Italian seasoning in the states? Also I can’t find the Himalayan black salt. I can find Himalayan black pepper. Thanks.

  4. Can you cook it and keep if for a little while? I'd like to make Vegan egg fried rice with this tofu scramble but would like to make a batch and keep it a little while for when I have rice.

  5. Just made this and it was amazing. I've been vegan for just over a week so I was very pleasantly surprised by this meal. We added a bunch of veggies and some hash browns (no oil) and topped it with avocado. It was delightful. Thank you for this recipe. I was at a loss for how to cook tofu!

  6. Hello, I have some tips that I think it would help, that I use to make these eggΒ΄s like recipe

    Use a non-stick pan

    Use silken tofu instead of firm

    Add just the black salt and turmeric and fried for a couple of minutes until it loose some liquid and then turn off the heat and let it cool for a while. This trick will make the egg texture more realistic.

    Then turn on the heat again and add the remaining ingredients. I find this by accident and it turn really well.

  7. The BEST and only tofu scramble I have been able to enjoy; I hate the taste of tofu, but THIS was β€œyum”!
    Tip: The longer you cook it the better, I did add a tiny bit more of each of the spices
