How I Pick and Prep Blueberries #Shorts



Blueberries are so incredibly healthy for us and it can’t get any fresher than eating them off the bush…juicy and sweet! And when you go to Blueberry Acres they expect you to eat your fill while you are there so we never eat breakfast before we go!

We pick enough for a really good feed, blueberry muffins, blueberries in our salads, on rice cakes with peanut butter (don’t knock this til you try it!) and the rest go into the freezer for smoothies throughout the year. Now, why would we do this? Aside from the amazing flavour, their nutritional benefits are astounding as they are considered one’s of earth’s superfoods. Here is a list that is by no means inclusive but you will get the idea!

3.6 g of dietary fiber.
14.74 g of total sugars.

Vitamin K: 36% of the RDI
Manganese: 25% of the RDI
85% water
114 g of potassium
