My kids love strawberries. So much that even though they aren’t in season at all right now, my mom has been really nice and has been buying them at Costco for my girls as a treat. We have been growing strawberries in my garden for the last 3 years. And since I have rearranged my garden 3 times, my strawberry plants have been transplanted 3 times. I wasn’t sure how they would do this year after the third transplant, but they actually did better than ever! My girls (and the neighborhood kids) were picking strawberries well into October.
When you have oodles of strawberries, you start thinking about delicious recipes to use them in. Making a strawberry puree is a great way to use strawberries that might be getting a little old. This is where this Strawberry Butter recipe was born. It is sweet, fluffy and perfectly refreshing with the tart flavor of fresh strawberries. Take your toast to the next level with this amazing strawberry butter!
How to Make Strawberry Butter
This only has 4 ingredients! It is super simple to make. First, rinse and hull your strawberries and place in a food processor. Blend until you have a smooth puree. The smell of strawberry puree is like heaven. Seriously, I could just eat this by the spoonful.
If you don’t like seeds, then you can take your puree and push it through a fine mesh sieve. This step does take some time – it probably took me 10 minutes. You can definitely skip this step if the seeds don’t bother you!
You will want your butter to be at room temperature when you whip it with the strawberry puree. I used my kitchen-aid and whipped the daylight out of them. And voila – you will have a creamy, fluffy, flavorful strawberry honey butter. Put it in a cute jar to give away!
This strawberry butter will last 2-3 weeks in your fridge. Make sure you put it in an airtight container to keep it fresh longer. Enjoy!

- 1/2 cup strawberry puree 10-12 medium strawberries
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 cup butter 1 stick
Puree strawberries in a food processor or blender. Mix in honey and lemon juice.
