  1. Have you been to the doctor to find out for sure has your hernia been healed, has that tear heal itself, through doing MRI or something else that could show that?

  2. Is slow squats without weights ok? I am thinking of chinese squats against a wall – dun qiang. I have seen you doing squats but wonder if not the hernia gets pushed?

  3. I find that my hernia starts to hurt while I sing a lot (I lead in singing at my church). Doing this while holding a note keeps it from hurting. Singing coaches know this technique.

  4. Honestly, this exercise is so intuitive, obvious and simple as to seem possibly too good to be true. But it works. I'm only three days into this exciting adventure and learning experience/test, and yet I can say that this not only helps but is easy to become conscious of and learn to maintain while doing your daily routine. Had to kickstart my bike a couple times (wiring problems) this morning and hacksaw some metal piping today. No pain. No hernia bulge. I am fully prepared for relapses, and whatever the future may hold, but keeping the hernia in while the body gets a chance to mend has to be a smart approach. Waiting for my truss to arrive in the mail for that very reason.

  5. ER said they don't do inguinal hernia procedure unless their is strangulation. So my friend returned ER a week later his testicle was strangulated. I just tried this exercise and it felt painful at the hernia site. I created a device to hold the hernia in place but have been forced to stop power lifting especially squats leg press donkey kick adductor abductor. I've heard story's of bad experiences with mesh procedures. Is there not other solutions that are stronger more reliable . The medical journal says their is no natural "CURE". claiming a cure is high risk so much so that vitamins makers are very careful with their claims. I believe a cure suggest that it has returned to the condition it was prior to the injury. Other wise closer to truth is that the exercises you recommend provide relief and comfort from the pain of a hernia for you. Perhaps by definition the word cure might mean all of the symptoms no longer exist. Eastern medicine provides preventative measures western measures leans towards cures. And some where in the middle is pain and discomfort management. Eastern medicine offers exercises that are designed to relieve pain. Some fields offer medications as a means of managing . Me personally I believe in live and let live. As adults each person makes their adult choices unencumbered by the over zealous opinions of anyone or any group. Autonomy. self awareness enables me to make intelligent choices & changes. As a result of being in tune with my own bodys messaging I make choices.things I do for me, someone else may find that for their self to be ineffective and same applies to me. I am glad their is conversation about hernias because it provides me with a broader range of knowledge that may or may not be effective for me.

I commented here a year ago and the update of having inguinal hernia for a decade is not something you can fix on your own(like you can gently massage it back or do these exercises but Im not saying it will not work for others). I’m now close to scheduling my surgery 🥲 I’m afraid coz this would be my first time

  10. So I'm stumbling across this because one of my students asked me how stretching protects and heals hernias. I was also kind of shocked that I never looked into it myself. Well now here I am.. as a chick teaching female geared fitness classes I can't really tell them to check their balls, but this is going to be one excellent conversation piece.
