Do contraceptive pills prevent PID (Pelvic Inflammatory Diseases), AIDS and STDs?

Contraceptive pills provide some degree of protection against PIDs. It also imparts some extra benefits such as prevention of ovarian cyst, heavy bleeding, breast cancer and PMS (Premenstrual Syndrome) and disruption of menstrual cycle.
But it does not protect from AIDS and STDs. To avoid getting infected with AIDS and STDs besides contraceptive pill, condom or barrier contraceptive should be used.
