Dealing with Hormonal Acne | self-esteem, birth control, rude comments

Hi ! 🙂
I wanted to share my experience dealing with hormonal/cystic acne in my early 20s
I had never experienced acne like this throughout my adolescent years so dealing with this all of a sudden as a young adult, when I thought I shouldn’t have to worry about that anymore, was a frustrating experience. However, through it I was able to change my perspective on how I view myself and realize (and continue to remind myself) that my self-worth isn’t and shouldn’t be based on my appearance.
